Butterscotch Fingers

Not really sure why they're called butterscotch fingers but they are, and they're really good dipped in hot coco.

1/4 lb. butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1 cup toasted chopped walnuts or pecans
powdered sugar
.
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar till fluffy.
Add eggs.
Beat after each one.
.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture.
Mix well.
Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
Turn mixture into a greased 9X13 baking dish.
.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. {do not over bake}
While warm, cut into bars.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
